    Sangiovese (san-joh-VAY-zeh)

The Sangiovese grape has been elegant and complex, wide and deep bouquet with hints of red fruits, wild violet on an undercurrent of spices. Lively ruby red color with purple hues, the taste is also fresh and intense. Coherent in the final fruity and floral returns.

Taste: Intense and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, plum, blackberry and redcurrant together with herbs, truffles, liquorice and spice. Develops great complexity with age.

One of my personal top two of the wonderful wines from winelovers

Awesome, one of my absolute favorites from this amazing, consistent, fair pricing, wine place. Easy to make, fun, and fun to drink (in moderation, of course.) Forgiving to make, if you forget something, as it will always be wonderful after about 30 days, as it ends up like a 2-5yr. old Chianti. Only thing missing is the real fresh herbed Italian foods in most of Italy to go along with it, and the straw bottles. Our homemade Lasagna and Pizzas here in USA will have to do, for now. Five stars

    Making it heavy bodied

I have made these in the past. I am now adding less water and making five gallons instead of six. It is well worth the difference, a few less bottles but a tastier and higher apv!

Sangiovese is one of my favorites here

I've tried almost all these great wine kits here, and this is in my top three, for ease of making, drinkable quickly, and a lot of fruity taste that goes well with my frequent dinner diet of pesto, pastas, and pizzas Put it in a straw bottle and dream of Italy.
