This robust, medium/heavy-bodied white holds its weight and pedigree remarkably well, offering an intensely flavored, richly layered experience that seamlessly provides freshness along the way.  It is mouth filling with a beautiful balance of acidity and tannins which carries the finish long. Crafted with care so that no single flavor overpowers another, this wine is simply delicious.

California Mountain Chardonnay

I've been purchasing assorted kits from Wine Lovers regularly for a number of years, and have enjoyed their offerings immensely. I understand there are good and bad grape years though. This wine was a mild disappointment. It basically had no bouquet, coated my tongue with the taste of the grape skin, and left a slightly sharp after-taste. My family described it as drinkable. That's not what I want to hear :-) I did, however, find that in (in glass) blending it with a heavy tannin red (read Merlot), it made for a great semi-blush. Yes, it came in at the expected ABV.
